The training course “Fit in Felt”
Training objective
The "Fit in Felt" program provides in-depth technical knowledge of felting, combined with artistic design elements, for a successful and creative felting practice. Theoretical and practical-craft-based course units alternate, leading participants to an individually designed final project.
Training concept
The "Fit in Felt" course extends over two or three years, depending on preference, and is divided into six individual week-long course blocks of six days each. After each course block, participants complete their own practical project, including documentation, on a given topic as a homework assignment. These homework projects are presented at the beginning of the following block.
The basic training comprises course blocks 1 to 3, the subsequent specialist studies comprise blocks 4 to 6. Block 6 offers the opportunity to reflect on the course content, to prepare for the final thesis and to jointly plan individual goals.
Graduation with certificate
The "Fit in Felt" training course concludes with a final project: "My Own Path in Felt – An Individual Felt Project." The resulting works will be presented to the public in an exhibition. Successful completion of all course modules, the submission of all required assignments with documentation, and the publicly presented final project lead to the award of the "Felt Designer" certificate from the Oberrot Felt School.
